Park-like Amenities Will Also Be Considered
The meeting on August 30 at 7pm at St. Bernadette's will focus primarily on the proposals by the established subcommittees, which are working hard at making sure they have as much of your input as possible. BUT it is good to know that some of the other ideas you have suggested, that are not organized into a group of volunteers, will also be considered options when the final decisions are made. As you scroll through the blog and look at some of the comments, you will see some of those. A good example is a family or kids' playground, that would replace our wonderful old Rocket Park.

I would love a kids' playground to take my grandchildren to when they stay with me.
ReplyDeleteRunning trails with water fountains and a large shaded dog park would be awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteWould like to see walking paths and gardens with native and wildlife-attractive plants like butterfly weed (for Monarchs), cuphea/cigar plants (for hummingbirds), and purple coneflower (seeds for various bird species). Also preserve the existing water features and install lots of benches for resting and observing the wildlife.
ReplyDeleteI like all the comments, good for the City of Clear Lake but my comment is WHY THE CLEAR LAKE CITY AND THE CLEAR LAKE WATER AUTHORITY TAKE CARE FIRST OF THE EXISTING PONDS BECAUSE THE ONE LOCATED BETWEEN FAIRWIND AND RESEDA IS COVER WITH DEBRIS AND ALGAE AS A CONSECUENCE SNAKES, MOSQUITOES ETC.
